DOE biomass advisory committee schedules November meeting

The U.S. Department of Energy has announced an open meeting of the Biomass Research and Development Technical Advisory Committee is scheduled for Nov. 18-19. The event will be held in Emeryville, California.

According to a notice published in the Federal Register, the purpose of the meeting is to develop advice and guidance that promotes research and development leading to the development of biobased fuels and products. The agenda is expected to include an update of USDA biomass research and development activities, DOE biomass research and development activities, as well as an update on the Biomass Research and Development Initiative. The agenda is also expected to address California perspectives on biofuels and energy along with annual committee recommendations.
