More than 2.06 billion RINs were generated under the Renewable Fuel Standard in April, up from 1.84 billion generated during the same month of last year, according to data released by the U.S. EPA on May 16.
The U.S. EPA released updated small refinery exemption (SRE) data on May 16, reporting that no new SRE petitions have been filed under the Renewable Fuel Standard in the past month. A total of 38 SRE petitions remain pending.
Europe-based airline Ryanair has extended its partnership with Trinity College Dublin by making an additional €2.5 million donation (€4 million total) to fund the Ryanair Sustainable Aviation Research Centre.
Germany-based EnviTec Biogas has successfully completed two more biogas projects in the U.S. in Cassville, New York and Ellington, Connecticut. The two plants were planned, designed, and constructed by its subsidiary, EnviTec Biogas USA Inc.
