Have a Biomass Magazine Article Idea?

By Anna Simet | October 19, 2012

At Biomass Magazine, we’re already working on the December issue, gearing up for a new year of covering new topics, including—potentially—the energy policies under a new president.

As contributions editor for Biomass Magazine, I’m charged with managing all external content, mainly columns and articles written by non-staff. I’ve been busy locking in our columnists for 2013, which will include some familiar faces, as well as several new faces, of the Biomass Power Association, Biomass Thermal Energy Council, American Biogas Council, Algae Biomass Organization and several others. In 2013, you can expect to see a beefed-up front section of Biomass Magazine, and I have to say that I’m really proud of our current lineup.

I’m also on the lookout for contribution articles, which can be written by project developers, equipment companies, researchers, etc.  If you have an idea and are alright with a pen, send me an email at

As you may have already discovered, we’ve posted our 2013 editorial calendar, which can be downloaded here. Just scroll down to page 12 and take a glance at our monthly issue themes, which have changed from last year’s. January kicks off the year with plant service, maintenance and repair.

As our work on 2012 issues comes to an end, I’ll say that it’s been an interesting year for the biomass industry, and we’re eager to see what 2013 will bring.
