DP CLeanTech to develop biomass power plant for China Chant Group

By DP CleanTech | September 06, 2013

DP CleanTech has announced the continuation of its successful relationship with China Chant Group, with the commencement of work in August for the fourth biomass power plant to be delivered to Chant by DPCT.

The project is located in Yutai County, Jining City, Shandong Province. When completed, the project will generate more than 200 MWh electricity annually, using cotton straw, bark and rice husk etc.

In 2011 and 2012, DPCT designed, provided and installed its unique high pressure, high temperature boiler technology at two of Chant’s biomass power plants located in Xishui (Shandong Province) and Mingshui (Heilongjiang Province, combined-heat-and-power-project).  These power plants are operating successfully. A third project, Ning’an (Heilongjiang Province) is still under construction and is expected to be completed before the end of 2013.

DPCT Group CEO Simon Parker made the following comments regarding the recently signed project with Chant, “We are very pleased and proud to be collaborating once again with a forward thinking company such as Chant.  The cooperation reflects not  only the positive relationship we have with Chant, but their recognition of the long term benefits of the efficiency and reliability brought by DPCT products and services.  We hope and anticipate that Chant’s progressive example will encourage a greater willingness from domestic private entities to invest in China’s increasingly mature biomass industry.”
