Florida venture to turn horse muck into energy

Global Green Solutions Inc. and the Florida Thoroughbred Breeders' and Owners' Association are forming Florida Greensteam Equine Energy LLC to convert horse manure into energy that would be sold to the local power grid. According to Global Green Solutions, construction at a processing facility will begin in the second quarter of 2008 at a yet-to-be-determined site in Marion County, Fla. The company's high-efficiency cyclonic burner and heat recovery steam generator will be designed specifically to handle horse muck.
